No doubt it’s an incredible machine with top-shelf features, but for most riders in South Africa, the size, weight, and especially the price are major barriers. It's a dream bike for many, but not a practical one for the average local adventurer.
Is this product available to purchase in South Africa?
I took it for a test ride and rather enjoyed it. My concern with this bike is the camshafts. Not sure if CFMOTO addressed this issue on the KTM engine they're using in this bike.
I think if KTM gave Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor those bikes, it would have done a lot for the brand. However, if KTM suspected subframe failure, I can understand why the decision was made to hold back. It just seems like a missed opportunity for KTM, though.
